Taboo

The Black Eyed Peas' Taboo (nŽ Jaime Luis Gomez), 31, was arrested near LA on March 27, 2007 for an alleged DUI. Police say they found marijuana in his car after the singer was involved in a minor traffic accident. He was released on bail.

The Black Eyed Peas are a three-time Grammy Award -winning American hip-hop group from Los Angeles who have enjoyed recent worldwide pop success. The group is currently composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. Since their breakout album Elephunk in 2003, they have seen international fame for their pop/dance-influenced style of hip-hop music. The Black Eyed Peas have sold an estimated 20 million albums and singles worldwide.

Jaime Luis G—mez, born July 14, 1975 in Boyle Heights, California, better known as Taboo Nawasha, is of Mexican and Shoshone descent. As a child he aspired to be a philantropist, and did not turn to music until his late teens. He joined the Black Eyed Peas in 1995.

Taboo is known for his Kung-Fu inspired dance moves (being a practicioner of Jeet Kune Do) and eclectic style of dress. He has recently announced plans to launch a non-profit arts school for children living in his hometown of Rosemead, California. Taboo's first acting role was in the film Dirty with Wyclef Jean playing the part of Ram’rez. Currently, Taboo is in the process of creating a solo album rumoured to be titled Amor En La Havana.
